Snoring is a condition that afflicts many people (and their bed partners). Of even more concern is sleep apnoea (cessation of breathing) which commonly accompanies snoring but which can cause serious health issues. Snoring is most commonly treated with a CPAP machine or by a MAS device (anti-snoring splint).
Only dentists can make a MAS but it is usually best done after a consultation with a sleep physician. This is because such a large number of snorers suffer from sleep apnoea and it is important not to let this serious condition go unrecognised.
