Farewell Dr John Burrell

On the 26th of June we said farewell to Dr John Burrell, who retired just short of his 70th birthday, after almost 50 years of playing a vital role in the maintenance and treatment of thousands of patients across Western Australia.

John graduated from the University of Western Australia back in 1968, and found himself working in the Government sector as part of the Mobile Dental Clinic in areas such as the Murchison, Bencubbin and Wyalkatchem. Having gained valuable experience, John decided to open and run a private practice in Fremantle, where he spent the majority of his dental career.

After 30 years in Fremantle, John sold his practice and worked in a number of locum positions until he was invited to make a permanent move to Rockingham Dental Centre.

It has been 10 very special years, during which the Practice has benefitted greatly from not only John’s vast experience in the profession, but also his being one of the best blokes you will ever meet.

It was certainly sad to see John leave us, but all of the team at Rockingham Dental Centre wish him a happy retirement!
