Russell Gordon recently returned from Sydney, where he was inducted as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists.
Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only. A nominated dentist must pass a rigorous peer review process leading to the recognition of the individual’s “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind”.
We are very proud that Rockingham Dental Centre is unique in having two associates who are Fellows of the College, having been recognised for their service to the profession and the community.
Gerard Parkinson was inducted in 2013 for, amongst other things, his long service as Chairman of the Dental board of WA. Russell has been recognised for his work as the Chairman of the Australian Dental Health Foundation in WA, which coordinates pro bono dentistry for homeless people.
