The Sirolase is a soft tissue laser that enables soft tissue surgery to be performed with little or no bleeding. Since the laser doesn’t touch the gum, laser dentistry means a totally sterile incision – as a result, healing is much quicker and more comfortable, with far less post-operative swelling and pain.
There are a number of circumstances in which we would use the Sirolase at Rockingham Dental Centre – removing excess gum from around teeth to allow better access for a filling or a crown is one important use, another is to improve a ‘gummy’ smile, and to treat minor periodontal disease.
